Amuse-bouche are usually small single bite complimentary hors d’œuvres, which are not selected by the customer, but offered free by the chef at his selection to:
- prepare a diner for their meal,
- introduce the diner to the chef’s approach to cooking
- and is an excellent way to introduce future dishes to customers
They are always a treat when they arrive unexpectedly at your table and because they are only a taster, a very cost effective way of giving the customer something for free.
